How many times has your husband rolled his eyes at you for being on Pinterest? My answer would be five…just this morning. But in all seriousness, this is the view that many people have of Pinterest; it’s just another social media site where people can share recipes and craft ideas. This might be true for some but if you are a business owner, whether that be an eCommerce store, brick and mortar, or a blog, if you’re not using Pinterest to build your business, you’re missing out on a huge segment of the market.
If you’re already sold and want to up your Pinterest game, check out the course, Pinterest Unpuzzled. This course is a Pinterest game changer and will help you increase your traffic dramatically (check out my numbers below!).
Still not sure? Here are a few interesting facts about Pinterest found in an article on OmincoreAgency.com:
- Pinterest was founded in 2010 and boasts 150 million users with 70 million of those users in the U.S. alone.
- Continually growing, as of 2017, Pinterest is home to 50 billion+ pins and 10 billion+ boards.
I know some of you are still not convinced and wondering why is this is important. So here’s a few more fun facts from that same article:
- 2 million Pinterest users save shopping pins daily
- 87% of users have purchased a product because of Pinterest
- 72% of users, use Pinterest to help them decide what to buy offline
Did you catch that? 2 million users are saving shopping pins every day and 87% of users have already made a purchase because of Pinterest. So, you do the math, what’s 87% of 150 million? OK, I won’t actually make you do math; that would be over 130 million people who might have purchased your product if it had been on Pinterest. This is what you would call an Aha! moment.
I’ve always been a Pinterest fanatic, having joined in 2011 when it was still by invitation only. In fact, I like to pretend that I almost had the idea for Pinterest when I was planning my wedding and I created folders on my computer like “Wedding Hair”, “Wedding Dresses”, “Table Decor”, etc. and saved images to them that I found online. If only I had thought bigger! 😉
As much as I loved using Pinterest, when starting my blog, I didn’t realize the impact Pinterest could make in growing it. Like many bloggers and businesses, I did the standard, I created a business account, created some boards and pinned some of my posts. I didn’t see a lot of activity and growth so I focused more on sites like Facebook and Instagram. However, I also did a ton of research on how to grow my blog and came across some amazing courses, one in particular that helped me increase my Pinterest following but even more importantly helped me increase traffic to my site. And that’s the overall goal of blogging, eCommerce, or any business, right? More traffic equals more sales.
The course I’m referring to is Eden Fried’s Pinterest Unpuzzled. I took this course in July 2017 and it completely changed my view on how to market my blog on Pinterest. Eden shows you how to create the best pins to get noticed, how to increase engagement (i.e. impressions and repins), how to connect with other users in order to drive more traffic to your site, and how to grow your Pinterest following.
I can’t say enough about how fantastic this course is and how much it helped me and can help you too! Eden is highly supportive and wants to see you succeed after taking her course and she is there to support you every step of the way. I’ve shared exciting growth numbers with her and she has been there to cheer me on!
What’s awesome is that you can work through the course at your own pace and you will truly start to see results right away. Just take a look at my results below.
This is the number of users who see and act on your pins. As you can see, in June, a few weeks after starting my blog, I only reached about 8K people for the month and only 258 actually engaged. However, in July (around mid-month), when I completed Pinterest Unpuzzled, my reach rose to over 29K and almost 900 engaged, an increase of 109% and 118% respectively. Last but not least, since this is HUGE, in August (and only three weeks into the month), thus far, my reach is 128K with 4K engaged, an increase of 305% and 337%. Amazing!
This is the number of views that pins from your website get on Pinterest. Obviously, this is a pretty important stat since the main goal is to drive traffic to your site. Again, starting in June, I only had 210 daily impressions and 135 daily viewers. In July, this jumped 213% to 1263 daily impressions and a 164% increase in daily viewers at 832. Again, big numbers in the month of August thus far, with over 12K in daily impressions and 9.4K daily viewers.
Are you convinced? I hope so since the numbers speak for themselves! I am so thankful that I found Eden’s course and attribute this massive increase in traffic to the knowledge I learned in the short amount of time it took to complete it. Are you looking for affiliate opportunities? Another exciting aspect is that Eden is so excited to see you succeed and so confident that you will succeed, that after you complete her course, she will invite you to be a part of her affiliate marketing program. It’s pretty cool that she wants to support other bloggers and help them grow their revenue stream in so many ways!
Seriously, you will not regret the investment in this course and your business! When you decide to sign up, I would love to hear from you and please share your success stories since I know it will work for you too!
