But, I need help!! I have too many ideas and I can’t decide what to work on. I have some outdoor projects on the list but I can’t decide if I’m over working on outdoor projects and maybe need a break from them. Meanwhile, our patio remains unfinished and after the rain, a giant puddle of mud. 😕 But my husband and dad are doing a little work on that tomorrow and then we will pour the concrete on the 17th, woohoo! But, back to ME and MY projects. I really need to pretty up my pallet air conditioner cover, so that’s one possibility, but I’m not 100% sure what I want to do with it yet, suggestions? I’m thinking I will maybe paint it a fun color but beyond that I’m not sure. 🤔
I also pinned some fun ideas on Pinterest for a teacup bird feeder. I have quite a few tea sets left from Macie’s Alice in ONEderland party so it would be cute to put them to use. I do have an old chandelier as well from our dining room so this project from Forever Decorating would pretty much be FREE.
A somewhat larger project I’m considering is updating our downstairs bathroom. It’s a simple powder room with a pedestal sink and toilet and that’s it. I’d like to frame the mirror and I really want to add a plank wall treatment, hence the larger aspect of the project. However, I’m toying around with the idea of using vinyl peel and stick flooring that looks like wood for ease and cost effectiveness aka it’s cheaper. Have you seen StikWood? It’s awesome and I would love to do a project with it but sadly its a little out of my currently limited project budget. I’ve seen some tutorials on Pinterest, like this one by Jessica from Mom 4 Real on Remodelaholic. I also saw this cool way to white wash wood on A Piece Of Rainbow but they actually used wood so I’m wondering if I can achieve this look on vinyl.
I bought these really cool wood pictures from Target (here) a couple months ago. They’re from their artist series and are by Leah Duncan. Since I’m from Tucson originally, I thought it would be cool to have at least one desert themed room in our home. Bonus, the desert theme is totally on trend right now, so I also found some cute little succulents in their dollar bins.
Lastly (for the moment), a quick project I want to work on is this cute Laundry Room sign from Crystal at What Treasures Await. I have a few corbels I “shopped” for in my dad’s garage and I’m thinking I can easily refinish one and get a plaque to attach to it. This should be pretty easy other than I don’t own a Cricut. 😩
Ok, so now to decide which project to tackle this weekend. Anyone out there, help!!! Also, if you want to see what projects I’m loving and considering, follow me on Pinterest! I promise my Pinterest boards are awesome since I invest so much time in them! 😉
*Update! I found part of my weekend Project at Hobby Lobby, stay tuned!
